Behind the beer:

A true celebration of the positive influence of a diverse community is the annual Pink Boots brew day. Brewery members in each state work with Pink Boots to host professional development and community networking days for its female members across the country! Suppliers, industry experts, brewers, colleagues and community partners all come together in support of the advancement of women in the Beer Industry.

To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Pink Boots in Australia, Ballistic was honoured to deliver an experience to mark the occasion. We hosted an event to bring together women working in the industry, to discuss ways we can positively and collaboratively disrupt the paradigms that prevent diversity in our industry in all its forms.

Our incredible team of women all believe strongly in the benefits of a diverse workforce with gender being one of the many dimensions in ‘diversity’. This beer, brew day and experience is all about slowing down to enjoy something a bit different. We paired rich fruity, sweet and toasty malts with the citrus and tropical fruit in the 2021 Pink Boots hop blend from Yakima Chief to create the ultimate Red Rye IPA that our team wanted to enjoy.

All proceeds from the sales of the Pink Boots beer will be donated to Pink Boots.

The Beer Itself

The women at Ballistic came together to brew this delicious beer using 2021 Pink Boots hop blend from Yakima Chief . It’s a sessionable IPA perfect for slowing down in Winter. Rich fruity, toasty and caramel malt flavours balance perfectly with the bold citrus and tropical fruit characters. All proceeds from the sales of the Pink Boots beer will be donated to Pink Boots.
