As the next iteration of our Neighbourhood collab series we're deeply honoured and humbled to work with our mates from Stone Brewing in San Diego, California. As one of the largest craft breweries in the world, Stone need little introduction. Over the past two decades they have carved out a reputation as one of the west coasts most notable IPA focused breweries.
Their proven track record brewing quality West Coast IPAs has been a source of inspiration for many, including us. It therefore was a no brainer that any beer we brewed together would be West Coast inspired. After some fun discussions we decided on the idea to brew a big, brash WC Double IPA that drew inspiration from our respective continents.
The result? A Golden DIPA that utilises a unique combo of classic and modern US hop varieties that utilises all Australian malt. Generous hot side and double dry hop additions of El Dorado, Strata and Amarillo deliver big, bold tropical and dank vibes with a delicious citrusy undertone. Expect complex bouquet of fruit and resin that oozes complexity and assertive hop character. This profile is elevated be the use us Veloria malt from Voyager Craft Malt. A stunning base malt for many styles, the colour and delicate toasty character of Veloria paired perfectly for this beer and provided the physical characteristics we were chasing.

Hops: El Dorado CRYO, HBC682, Strata & Amarillo
Malt: Veloria, Wheat, Dextrose.
FG: 3.5 EBC: 10 IBU: 80 Yeast: US-05
pH: 4.2
If you like your IPAs big, bitter and dry, this beer is for you. If you prefer IPAs that are more akin to fruit smoothies, then you may have to curb your enthusiasm a touch and strap in. Buckle up and enjoy the ride!
