It's reaching that time of the year for most of us to take time off with family and friends. To help seize this merry moment here's our guide to making the most of the delicious food and drinks you may consume this season.

Perfectly matching a beer to your favourite meal can heighten & balance your dining experience - whether it be with a light and restrained brew, or something darker and more complex. If wrongly paired, you can even tire & overwhelm your tastebuds from the flavour clash!

HAM & ROAST TURKEY

These rich meats demand a bold and flavorsome beer to be matched with. An IPA or ale is the best choice  with these! If you want to keep it a bit more low key, then these meats can be enjoyed with something lower in ABV % such as our award winning beers ‘Low Ha’ Low Carb PaleReef Pale or Reef Red Ale.

SEAFOOD & SALAD

The fresher flavours of seafood and salad are best enjoyed with a lighter flavoured beer. We recommend eating these with our Twang Fruited Sour, Watermelon Gose, or a Lager from our Reef series.

CHRISTMAS PUDDING

Something decadent like a pudding or other Christmas treat, needs similar flavours. Try our Coup De Grace – Barrel Aged Imperial Stout – rich and sticky with toffeee, spice, raisins and chocolate flavours. If you want to add a touch of spice to all that sweetness, then grab our  Mexican Hot Chocolate Stout with your Christmas pudding. Both these beers are award winning beers too.

PAVLOVA

This light and fruity dessert is an Aussie classic! To help emphasise these bright flavours, enjoy a pavlova slice with our Watermelon Gose or a fruited sour from our Twang Series

The golden rule we apply when matching beers with food - the beers don’t have to be fancy, but they do have to make you happy! Try out these beer pairings these holidays.
