The Hawaiian Haze Pale Ale won us #6 in the Gabs Hottest 100, so we have extended the tropical sensation to an IPA!
This beer is a double dry-hopped flavour explosion. Juicy tropical licks of pineapple, mango, passionfruit and mandarin burst atop a soft, pillowy mouthfeel. It’s a luscious hazy hitter, enjoyed by a range of beer drinkers.
Malt: We used a lot of oats and rolled wheat in this beer, adding fullness to the body and building up the Haze – Pale, Rolled Oats, Rolled Wheat.
Hops: Double dry-hopped during and after fermentation, which adds big juicy flavours from the Mosiac & Pacifica hops. The Azacca & Eclipse hops delivering a hit of citrus.
Yeast: Verdant IPA
ABV: 6% IBU: 30 EBC: 14 FG: 3.3ºP
Standard Drinks: 1.8
How did Hawaiian Haze come to be?
It all started with Flamingo Fridays – the team would (and still do) all wear fun shirts to celebrate the end of the working week. Then came a conversation at knock offs about our ideal after-work beer… and so the seed was planted for what would become Hawaiian Haze.
